“Honor Flight” premiere grabs the record for largest audience

Wisconsin: “Honor Flight”, documentary feature film, has set the Guinness World Record for largest attendance at a film screening this week at Miller Park Stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.

28,442 people attended the screening at Miller Park Stadium, which is home to the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team.

Presented by Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, the film depicts the lives of four World War II veterans who were part of the first Honor Flight from the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Hub in Milwaukee.

Though the stadium has a capacity of 41,900, the seating had to be reduced to accommodate all attendees being able to watch the film on the 5,940 square feet video board.

The previous record for the largest attendance at a film screening was 27,022 and was achieved by G7 Cinema (Brazil) for their world premiere of the documentary feature film ‘Absoluto – Internacional, Bicampeão da América’ (2010) in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on 7 December 2010.
