Yaum Ishq-e-Rasool being observed countrywide amid protests

ISLAMABAD: Yaum-e-Ishq-Rasool (S.A.W.W.) is being observed countrywide today on call by the federal government amid protests throughout Pakistan.

Meantime, traders announced to keep their business activities suspended today and transporters announced to keep their vehilces off the roads and traders. Also, the petrol filling stations and CNG stations are closed today.

Rallies and processions are being taken out and conferences will be convened to mark the protest against the sacrilegious movie intended to inflame the sentiments of the Muslims worldwide.
Protests are reported from all the big, small cities of the country. Protests are likely to intensify after Friday prayers. Meanwhile, Islamabad adminstration has imposed section 144 in the city to avoid any untoward incident.

Meantime, the federal government will hold Ishq-e-Rasool Conference at the Convention Center Islamabad with simultaneous conferences at all four capitals by the respective provincial governments.

Different political and religious parties also announced to hold rallies today. The main procession will be organised by Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan and Jamat-e-Ahle-Sunnat from Numaish Chowrangi.

The rally under the aegis of Ahle Sunnat Wal-Jamaat will emerge from Lasbela Chowrangi.

Other parties including the MQM, Tehreek-e-Insaf will also hold rallies side by side with the traders organizations across the country.

Meantime, petroleum dealers and CNG associations also announced to keep their stations closed today in protest over the anti-Islam movie. Transport owners associations announced to keep at standstill inter-city and intra-city operations. -SAMAA
